Fish Creek Shed: commenced 2020 - still under construction
I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and on the land in which this was built, land belonging to the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. I pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded.
The Fish Creek Shed consists of a renovation to one half of an existing work shed, providing a comfortable living and working space which can be occupied as a primary dwelling is being renovated whilst also doubling as a studio / office space with the potential to develop into a secondary dwelling in the future. The design has been carefully approached so as not to demolish anything within the structure and consists primarily of recycled building materials. The project has a high priority on passive performance, minimal environmental impact and flexibility, whereby the building may be used for a range of purposes over the years with minimal further construction required.
